Charity Bowl is Back!

The Delta-Chi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity would like to formally announce the playing of our Twenty-Third Annual Charity Bowl football game in support of Reclaimed Project. For the past twenty-three years, Kappa Sigma has held the Charity Classic during the Spring semester. Through the years we have been blessed to have raised over $1,800,000 for Reclaimed Project. The record amount raised in a single year was $207,000 in 2020. This year we are hopeful that this event will be another great opportunity for our chapter to support such a great cause in partnership with Reclaimed Project. The football game will be held on Saturday, March 5^th, 2022. The gates will open at 9 A.M. and the sorority cheer competition will take place shortly after. The football game will begin at the conclusion of the cheer competition.

About Reclaimed Project

Based in Mississippi, Reclaimed Project is a non-profit organization birthed out of the desire to exalt Christ by fulfilling the biblical mandate to serve orphans and vulnerable children. Established in 2012, Reclaimed Project equips local churches in Sub-Saharan Africa in the development of sustainable ministries to orphans and vulnerable children in their local communities. Over the years, the Delta Chi chapter has assisted Reclaimed Project in helping construct and launch several small businesses including a chicken business and small livestock business. In addition, Reclaimed Project works in the Mississippi Delta to recruit much needed teachers for the public school district in Quitman County. Reclaimed also provides after school tutoring and mentoring for youth and various other community programs at its ministry center in Marks, MS.

Reclaimed Project also empowers men and women in Lesotho Africa to rise above poverty by generating opportunities for a sustainable income through the creation of handmade Traditional African products. The fruits of their labor are then sold in local African markets, as well as in U.S. stores and through the online Reclaimed Marketplace. Men and women give 25% of what they make to support their local orphan care centers, assisting in building a strong future for the communities most vulnerable. Reclaimed Project also provides college students with the opportunity to go to Africa and serve on mission trips and also spend a summer of service with the orphans and their caregivers in Lesotho.

Advertisement Information

Advertising has always been one of the best ways for us to raise money for Reclaimed Project here at Kappa Sigma. This year we are doing our advertisements using many different mediums. When you purchase an advertisement for the Charity Classic, your company and your company logo will be displayed around the Kappa Sigma house on gameday, in our traditional gameday program, and several other possible ways. The ads will consist of various businesses and/or friends and families around the Southeast.
