Twenty-Seventh Annual Kappa Sigma Charity Bowl

The Delta-Chi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity is excited to formally announce the Twenty-Seventh Annual Charity Bowl in support of the Reclaimed Project. Over the last thirteen years, this event has raised over $2.2 million in support of the Reclaimed Project, a Mississippi-based non-profit organization with the goal to exalt Christ by fulfilling the biblical mandate to serve orphans and vulnerable children. One of the places Reclaimed Project has been led to fulfill this biblical mandate is Katse Village, a small community in Lesotho, Africa. With limited access to basic resources such as healthcare, education, and stable employment, many families and children in Katse Village are left in poverty. Through many mission trips as well as a partnership with the local Christian church, Reclaimed Project has been able to provide food, shelter, and education for the 130 orphaned and vulnerable children in their continuously growing program.

Not only has the Delta-Chi chapter raised the money, but they have also taken ten mission trips to Lesotho, Africa themselves. Kappa Sigma’s work with Reclaimed Project started with the construction of The Skills Training Center, which has become the central location for all of Reclaimed Project’s service to the community. The Skills Training Center is where children in the program come for daily meals, after school care, and to hear the gospel. It has also been used as a classroom for both students and adults, equipping those in the community with life skills that will allow them to provide for themselves and their families in an area stricken by poverty. Many of the 130 children in Reclaimed’s program have no family and no place to call home. Not only does Reclaimed partner with the local church to provide families and homes for these children, but Kappa Sigma has had the opportunity to fund and build homes for orphaned children who have never had a home to call their own.
Last year, the fraternity sent 40 members to Lesotho to assist with the construction of roads and drainage systems leading to Reclaimed Project’s school, the Reclaimed English Medium Academy (REMA). By improving access to the school, these infrastructure projects make travel safer and more efficient for students, teachers, and vehicles year-round. REMA represents Reclaimed Project’s next major step in creating lasting impact for the children in their program, and improved accessibility will further support that mission. With easier transportation to and from the school, more students are able to receive the education and opportunities REMA provides—opportunities they may have never imagined possible. Kappa Sigma is honored to play a crucial role in advancing the mission of Reclaimed Project through this year’s Charity Bowl.

This year, the Delta-Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma is aiming to raise a record $600,000. Through chapter-wide efforts and your generosity, we believe this to be a challenging but attainable goal. This year’s fundraising will support the completion of the Reclaimed English Medium Academy and 100% of proceeds will go to Reclaimed Project. The completion of this project includes much needed additional school buildings and bathrooms, athletic facilities for the schools sports teams, and mission housing to house missionaries and future volunteer teams who come to serve in Lesotho with Reclaimed Project.

The 2026 edition of the Charity Bowl will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The gates will open at 9 A.M., and the sorority cheer competition will take place shortly thereafter. The football game will begin at the conclusion of the cheer competition. Last year's Charity Bowl was attended by a diverse group of students, families, and businesses from across Mississippi reaching a total attendance of over 2,300 people! This means that your sponsorship and advertisement donations will reach a wide variety of Mississippi State families and supporters. For the 2026 Charity Bowl, we are excited to announce the availability of four sponsorship tiers as well as three advertisement tiers, all of which offer robust advertising opportunities, while supporting this great cause. A brief overview of the tiers is listed below with more details provided on the following pages. Whether you are a donor, advertiser, or sponsor, we look forward to working with you in our support of Reclaimed Project and the children they faithfully serve. We appreciate all of our sponsors and hope that you will consider being a part of this year’s Charity Bowl. Thank you for your support!
